3 Stars of the Week: 10/18

Stars of the Week

The Huskies picked up a big win this week. But the B’s struggled again dropping 2 out of 3.

1st Star
Tyler Seguin, F, Boston Bruins
3 GP, 1-1-2, GW Shootout Goal

After fading away towards the end of last season, Seguin has been great so far. He scored in the lose to Carolina, but his biggest contribution of the week was scoring the only goal in the shootout against Chicago to get the Bruins a win. Seguin has filled in on the first line for the injured David Krejci and he has done a great job.

2nd Star
Chris Rawlings, G, Northeastern
1 GP, W, 27 saves, 0 GA

Some (including us) questioned whether he should even start on Friday. He answered empathatically by throwing a shutout. The defense deserves a lot of credit as well, but we are giving to Rawlings for rebounding after a rough outing in Maine.

3rd Star
Braden Pimm, F, Northeastern
1 GP, 1-0-1

The sophomore scored in his second straight game this week. His goal opened up the scoring (and proved to be the winner) on Friday. The goal itself was set up by Quailer, but Pimm deserves credit for being in the right place. Overall he had a great game and he has looked like a much improved player under the new regime.

Standings

1. R. Peverley 3
1. T. Seguin 3
3. J. Daniels 2
3. C. Rawlings 2
5. B. Pimm 1
5. M. Loh 1
